Monsieur Balls,
Newly returned from the Spanish front, the fine coach that I had purchased two years ago has seen better days and is hardly befitting the station to which I have arisen. Are you still pursuing a mercantile venture? If so, I would like to employ your good offices in the purchase of a new coach.
Respectfully, Sieur Jacques Bougiedure Marquis de Chevreuse

Monsieur le Marquis,
I have resolved my professional uncertainties, and I shall remain a member of the merchant brotherhood of Paris. I would be delighted to aid you in selecting a new coach. Let me know what your requirements are, and I shall endeavor to exceed them.
Your servant
Auguste Balls

Mon cher Auguste,
What wonderful news to hear that you are back in business once again, I've been quite distraught lately as both my merchant and confessor seemingly have disappeared. I shall make immediate arrangements to re-establish my business affairs with your good self.
Indeed the welcome news of your return to the mercantile profession could not have come at a better time as I happen to be in urgent need of a large sack, actually make that two just to be on the safe side as best to double-bag, some rope, a large shovel and a cartload of soil. If you can arrange for all this to be delivered to my home as I have a pressing 'gardening job' that may require my immediate attention this coming month.
Best regards,
Bastian
P.S If I recall I had previously placed a standing order for dresses, assorted religious paraphernalia and ladies handkerchiefs? Well, I won't be needing any of these anymore so please scratch those from my account.
