Death Notice
The D'Blancheur family are devastated to announce the passing away of Dame Murieldis D'Blancheur, during a tragic complication in childbirth. She is survived by her husband, Sieur Arnold D'Blancheur, her newborn daughter and several members of the Lefrançois family.
The family doctor, Monsieur Delafosse said "it is always a tragedy when you lose one so young, doubly so when they are a new mother. But ours is not to question the will of the Lord. It never gets easier, dammit!"
The family have asked for privacy at this difficult time and a funeral will be announced in due course.

Review: The Case of Perry Mason and the Missing Lottery Ticket
Should have been right up my alleycat this one, lads. Proper old style farce, with some top bleeding totty in the shape of Mlle Johi (WAHAY, EH LADS?). Nice writing. Shame about the bleeding acting. The Archduke's Men were as dry as a whore's EDITOR: No Gerard, you aren't doing that. Liked the jokes about taking down briefs though. (WAYHAY!)

An Ecumenical Matter by Pastor Jacques
It seems Father Chatten fancies HIMSELF something of a THEATRE critic. He gave a SERMON this month to ADVERTISE a play at the THEATRE that I hear was full of COARSENESS and DEBAUCHERY. I was there MYSELF but not to ATTEND but to PROTEST outside as a MAN of GOD should. It does seem that Father Chatten's POPISH superiors may finally HAVE had enough of his BEHAVIOUR. He has not been REPRIMANDED for his love of DRINKING or HORSES or SMUTTY plays. No, it seems the FINAL straw was him getting his APPARENT patron Comte BOUGIEDURE to buy him a HOUSE. Naturally, my only PATRON is one man and his NAME is JESUS.

Reports from the Front by General Georges Boulle (rtd.)
Spanish Frontier
This could have gone very badly as undermanning led to the lads coming under serious pressure. In fact, have to say, only the Royal National Highland Brigade stopped this turning into a rout. Even the Division commander fell in the fighting.
Still, not all bad news though. Lagarde de Bearne may not have been great strategically, didn't stand out for his courage and didn't manage to reduce casualties significantly. But at least he managed to grab a collection of discarded swords as he beat his hasty retreat.
Flanders
Some back and forth here, with no clear victor.
Lorraine
The lads were lucky enough to have His Majesty at the front and His Majesty even did us all the favour of taking command of the troops, in defense of the area. Glad to say that the lads fought bravely under His Majesty's glorious supervision and we can get a bit more aggressive next month.
Savoy
Nothing much here, stayed in Barracks for most of it.
Next month:
Spanish Frontier HL 9 Invasion, Field
Flanders Frontier HL 6 Skirmishing Field
Lorraine Frontier HL 4 Raiding Field
Savoy Frontier HL 4 Raiding Field

OOC:
The more observant of you may notice a lack of Le Mole this month. All I'm going to say there is that this wasn't an oversight on my part.

(facepalm) Oh wow Sam, you deserve a medal for that wonderful bad piece of journalism. I was going to try and explain it to Jeanette Livarot but gave up, Ill buy her a Daily Star tomorrow and show her you are nothing on British journos.
