There was some confusion on this in this turn which required much too much second guessing on my part, so some guidelines etc.
The order "toady" or "allow toadies" is not enough on its own, especially if there's more than two PCs at an event!
You need to list who you're allowing toadies from and who you toady to.
Party guests automatically toady to the host or guest of honour. However workers (artists, musicians) are not guests, they're workers. This is largely in their own interests; making it automatic for them would mean they'd never get invited to parties with hosts of much higher status.
Remember you can't toady and toady to someone in the same week.
In terms of how I'll handle contradictions going forward.
If the highest SL character present is allowing toadies and those people have ordered that toady, those toadies will take precedent. Any left over characters will have to have ordered a different toady.
Unless explicitly stated, all PCs will be assumed to pay their own expenses. Not just carousing, but event tickets (theatre, races).
If there's a conflict with who pays the highest SL PC will insist!
The person being toadied to sets the level of partying. If they don't order carousing, all their toadies will stay sober. If they carouse or roister, so will you. (The only exception is clergy who will stay dry unless specifically ordered otherwise to avoid Father Robin type scandals).
Unless you're clear it's what you mean, I'll assume any toady that has social inferiors being toadied to by their betters is a mistake and reverse it. (We had several incidents of that this month and I'm pretty sure that wasn't what was intended).
You can set default toadying orders (toady to anyone who lets me, allow toadies from anybody over SL 6) but they'll be interpreted literally so be careful with wording.
Hope that all makes sense and will help with orders going forward! Let me know if there's any questions.
