Monsieurs,
I have a particular social project scheduled for the end of March. I apologise in advance for my inability to attend other social and religious gatherings in this period.

Monsieur de Bearn,
I am indeed hosting a party, though I am, regretably, having to limit the numbers as it is at my residence. Some invitations are still to be posted.

OOC:
The rules for this.
Some of these are just highlighting what's in the rules, plus a few new things.
Guest Limits
Note that the guest list max of 12 includes mistresses and NPCs. So it's smaller than it appears.
NPCs
Normally getting NPCs to attend would require an influenceable die roll. This doesn't apply to Celeste in this case. (It's literally what she does with her time).
Carousing
This works as normal with no chance of drunkeness.
The gentlemanly thing to do would be for Piquet to provide all drinks (cover costs) but that can get very expensive.
Toadying
Everyone present automatically toadies to Piquet. The only exception to this is if there's a guest of honour with a higher SL, arranged in advance. (In terms of SL the only person even eligble for this is Captain Jardin).
Art Exhibitions
As the host, Piquet will get SP for each piece he displays, as will the relevant artist. It's worth noting that an artist doesn't have to be present to gain this SP.
Any PC artist can choose to spend 1-3 weeks before the party working on a piece and then have it shown on week 4 (with Piquet's agreement and orders, obviously). This can be conditional, mostly so nobody has to show a piece that will lose them SP!
NPC artists won't be producing fresh work for this event; they won't work for less than 4 weeks.
It's also probable that Piquet will be showing work that isn't new, but that doesn't get the art SP. That's best handled as an increase in conspicous consumption level.
Celeste Lunderburg
Celeste is a mistress so won't toady.
However, she is courtable at the event.
Piquet will get a +2 to any courting attempt. Artists will get between -2 and +2 depending on how good their work is. (Considering Celeste is wealthy this bonus is very helpful).
However, people might wish to think carefully about their standdown orders. If more than one of you tries to court her no courting attempt will take place until April and there could feasibly be more than one duel at the start of the month! (If this does end up in duels anyone with an art bonus will keep it in April).
