King's Health Improves
After a new experimental herbal treatment, we are glad to say that his Majesty is out of critical condition! The titling ceremony is to go ahead as planned on Week 3, but it is unclear if his Majesty will be able to attend the steeplechase.

The Social Whirlwind by Le Mole
At Baron Lagarde’s ball, Captain Bougiedure escorting the newly woo’d and won Mme LeBeau proved himself as accomplished off the battlefield as on! Not only did he charm the parlor with tales of the valor that won him a title but he deported himself on the dance floor with a grace one does not usually associate with a soldier.

Romantic Interlude by Yvonne de Villepin
With engagement announcements in the air, some of our fair young ladies are feeling rather neglected. But fear naught! Captain Jacques Bougiedure, hero of the Spanish frontier, has ridden into Paris and swept Eloise LeBeau off her feet and into his arms! Such a pity that he had to do so in a rented coach

Reports from the Front by General Georges Boulle (rtd.)
With most of the regiments returned from the Summer Campaign and enjoying some well-deserved rest in their barracks, the Dragoon Guards hosted a Review for the citizens of Paris. The cavalry regiment was resplendent in their parade uniforms and the demonstration of arms was well received by the crowd.
The Regimental Dinner hosted at the Horse Guards Club was a similarly sumptuous affair. Although snubbed by his fellow officers, Captain Bougiedure was a gracious host to his guest, Mssrs. Champ and Degarde.
OOC: For ease of processing, I'm keeping the front in the same state it was last month, although promotions and loot have obviously still taken place!

Question:
Rules Say: Characters attending Court functions at the Tuilleries MUST be accompanied by their mistresses each week
But if I'm attending the Cardinal does this apply?

Lottery Matters By Huillaume Lagarde de Béarne Director of the Lottery
The prize number this September is 61. Numbers 60 and 62 had secondary prizes. Any number ending in 1 will have its money back.
Sellings were low, and there was a winner. So the prize for October is 1000 Cr for the exact number and 250 Cr for the adjacent ones.
