I suspect this won't come as a surprise. Until my current medical problems are resolved I don't quite feel like I have the creative energy to give the game the time and energy it deserves.
This is NOT the end of the game. Honestly, I think it will be back on in a month. (I'll email everyone when I'm ready to go again).
Hope people understand; I'd rather run this when I feel up to it then phone it in!

Health comes first.
Thank you for what you have done and I am looking forward to coming back when you are ready to go.

I hope you don't have the King's doctor looking after you. Beware mysterious potions!
Get well soon. Paris will still be here when you have recovered.

It's a shame, but I guess necessary. Take care of yourself and return recovered.
Learning to live with diabetis is a process, and not always a quick one, so take your time. As nuch as we'd like to resume the game, it's only a game, while your health is a real issue.

Good luck with your treatment, Sam. Make sure you are in good shape before you carry on.

(Although that was to the Prince, not the King....)

Real life is critical and we look forward to you regaining your interest in the game/our joint life
Good luck with the operation

Update:
We had to have our cat Elf put to sleep on Monday. We loved her dearly and we're really upset at the moment. The game will still return, but a month may have been overly optimistic. I'll email everyone when it does.
2020 has not been a good year to be running a game.

My deepest sympathies. Putting my beloved collie, Trudy, to sleep in the face of cancer was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Even almost two decades on, it stabs at my heart.

2020 has not been a good year to be running a game. For what you tell us, 2020 has not been a good year, period.. Receive my sympathies too, and take your time.

Is there an update on the status of the game? It has been a month since Louis's last post. Is anyone in contact with him/her? Is s/he doing well?

Is there an update on the status of the game? It has been a month since Louis's last post. Is anyone in contact with him/her? Is s/he doing well? See elsewhere in this forum! It's being relaunched, but I want to try and get a near final draft of the rulebook first. In terms of how I am, better than I was. Obviously, still miss the cat but the major stage of grief seems to be over and changing my diet has helped with the constant exhaustion. It's annoying that we've had to postpone the move to Scotland by a year and my revenue stream largely has dried up due to coronovirus, but those are managable irritations rather than the "everything at once" feeling that led to the game being paused.

Glad to hear things are going better for you. It's a journey not a destination.
It has been a tough spring and summer. The game was a welcomed distraction. It was sorely missed.
