The fighting on the Lorraine front has been brutal. Many brave men have lost their lives to the enemy attacks.
I fought bravely and with honour, but I feel that there are some deficiencies in the men above me.
I will be taking steps to convince those who do not care enough for our King and great country to step aside for better men.
You may be able to help me, and France, in this endeavour, by singing my praises to my Captain-Lieutenant.

I hear on the grapevine that you have been discussing my exploits at the front
and it seems an exciting opportunity could be opening up for you to exhibit your wonderful dancing.
It could create some openings for us to enter higher society
And a chance to extend your wardrobe!

You may have already heard in the news about my exploits at the front.
Again, it seems my progress is being hindered by people who are too comfortable in their position.
One Captain above me seems to be getting too old to be effective.
When I return to Paris we will have a chat with him about retiring for an easier life at home.
