Among the Royal Guards…
Guardsman 1: Sarge, have you heard someone wants to replace the Surgeon?
Sargent: yes, I’ve heard he’s this Doctor of the People, someone Doctor Death
Guardsman 2: the King’s Executioner? Excuse me, Sarge, but it’s doctor De’Ath, no doctor Death…
Sargent: well, they sound likewise…
Guardsman 1: The executioner? Do you mean the surgery he’s most familiar with is “cephalectomy” (head amputation)
Sarge: don’t be naughty, Private… He’s a respected Doctor, despite his name. Even the Comte de CHévreuse hired him to see his brother...
Guardsman 2: in any case, I’ve heard the Commander has renewed the trust in our Surgeon. I’m glad of it, as he treated well my broken arm in March in the Lorraine operations. In fact, for what I know, most of the wounded have recovered well under his care…
Sarge: not our business , for good or bad. Return to duty, Guardsmen

Heard at the Spanish Embassy:
A doctor as Executioner? I guess this one took too seriously being a matasanos...
OOC note: the Spanish word matasanos (literally transated would be "healthy people killer" is a despective one to call a Doctor. According Google Transator, the English equivalent would be "quack" or "sawbones".
Sorry, I could not stop myself to sharing the pun...
