Word reaches me that you have recently arrived in Paris, making you a newcomer to our fair City.
Allow me to extend my formal greetings and best wishes for your future here, it is a wonderful place but also a confusing one with so much occuring that one can easily lose track of what is happening from one week to the next! I am relatively new myself, arriving at the behest of my dear cousin, Lord Bastian De'Ath, only to find out that he'd taken flight to Madrid after a misunderstanding about spying for the Spanish, a most ludicrous suggestion in my humble opinion considering he was, himself, the Commissioner of Public Safety and, therefore, the man entrusted with France's security!
Anyway, he's now a resident of Madrid and writes to me writes regularly to keep me updated as to his wellbeing and activities there, most encouraging to learn he has not lost his renowed panache!
Perhaps you'd like to meet up so I can enlighten you as to the delights and sights of Paris, after all I hear you are of noble lineage, just like me. I also am gifted in having the ear and protection of people in high places, so friends of mine are sure to attract the eye of such folk, a positive thing if you ask me!
