We guess you’ve already heard about some prisoner asking the Army to revolt to free him in name of the revolutionary ideas of democracy (an old form of government allegedly used in classic Greece that denies the divine rights of the King).

While Royal intelligence evaluation is no unit in the Army will heed those seditious cries for help (and our contacts in Military Intelligence agree), we advise you to put the Paris Guards on alert, as some revolutionary never-do-wells of the city underworld may try to use them to create trouble.

Your excellency,

The revolt of the self-named De’ath Patriot Brigade took the garrison by surprise. It seems our previous warning, that assumed he would be moved to the Bastille, didn’t reach Lyon.

The fugitive keeps calling the Army to revolt and has ordered to arrest Ministers Lyon and Ségier. I must warn you that, though military intelligence keeps assuring the loyalty of the Army, unless he’s stripped of his office, some people may understand those orders to be legal, producing quite a mess on HM government.

So our suggestion is to reinforce the security of the named ministers and keep the Paris Guard in alert, just in case those rebels decide to march on Paris, as well as advising HE the Minister of State to strip the fugitive of his office and authority before some confused people obey his orders.
