Due to the matter of a small 'misunderstanding', which was most definitely not down to the Commissioner but several clerks and underlings whose services have since been dispensed with, the current charge against the Minister of Justice, that Séguier fellow, has been dropped(don't think we've forgotten though!) and the arrest warrant (for now)withdrawn.
Commissioner, Lord De'Ath, being a most zealous and attentive servant of the Crown, felt something was not 'quite right' so decided to investigate further, took it upon himself to do this because that is the very fine Commissioner that he is, far better than the last one. Anyway people, it turns out that it wasn't the Justice Minister that wanted Lord De'Ath dead but, in fact, some lowly wretch known as Pvt Fabrezan and he didn't actually want Lord De'Ath dead either....just roughed up a bit so he was confined to bed, what with all that shouting in the street, when Lord De'Ath valiantly fought off the group of thugs, he has since realised that with bed sounding so similar to dead it's easy to become confused.
Yes, apparently it was Fabrezan who paid these thugs to attack our beloved Commissioner but it is suspected that he has a pay master further up the chain, so to speak. That will be followed up in due course, however, for now, the focus is upon arresting this Fabrezan and bringing him before the Court. Rumour has it he's legged it and run off to the Front to avoid arrest, well he'll not get far and Lord De'Ath himself has vowed to lead a squad of agents this coming month to detain the rogue.
Further updates will follow.
