Monsieur,
I feel I hardly need detail to you my 'disappointment' at the verdict recorded following the Trial of Justice Minister Pierre Séguier.
Nevertheless, I shall! You Sir, are an utter incompetent, a total buffoon of a man and an individual guilty of the crime of public deception by advertising yourself as an Advocate of law. I took the time, my valuable time, to fully brief you ahead of the trial, didn't I walk you through the case from beginning to end, give you a set of notes, explain to you time and time again about the offence? By God, what the hell happened man? You stood at the bench spluttering away like a fish out of water! Well I can tell you something, your in water now laddie, hot water!! The disgrace you brought upon the Public Safety Ministry, my first arrest, a chance to stamp my authority, bring in a half of a hefty fine to my own pocket put that upstart Séguier in his place.....squandered, wasted....an opportunity missed!
Well, fortunately I've bagged him again, this time for 'Attempted Murder' and he won't be able to use the excuse that he was with other Ministers all the time, apart from popping out for a pee, as that won't matter since he sent out a hit squad against me so he didn't need to be there, foolproof!
Equally fortunate is the fact you won't be within 50 miles of the Court Room, will you?! There comes a time, you see, when a man should take the opportunity to reflect upon his career, re-evaluate his priorities in life, take the decision that now's right to put one's feet up etc because, as we all know, retirement is a time to enjoy the lesser stressful side of things, things unlike...say....getting murdered on the way home from work by a gang of...say....brutal thugs hired by a person unknown to savagely kill someone who had really annoyed that person unknown.......stressful things like that!
So, allow me to begrudgingly offer you all the best and that you enjoy your retirement, your immediate retirement.
Lord De'Ath
COMMISSIONER OF PUBLIC SAFETY
P.S I hear Marseillaise is a nice place to spend a retirement, nice and far away.
