First, please let me apologize for the mishaps during my sermon last month. It was a trying experience.
With that, I again invite you to my sermon at the Parish of Saint-Joseph-des-Carmes in the Diocese of Premy.
The theme of the sermon will be the ten lepers of Luke 17:11–19.
I will be available for confessions after the sermon.
Yours in faith,
Father Fabrezan Jesuit Priest Parish of Saint-Joseph-des-Carmes Diocese of Premy

Cher Fr.Fabrezan,
I simply have to ask, pardon my curiosity, but what on earth happened at your last sermon?!
Unfortunately I was unable to attend, due to prior commitments, but if I had been free I would have popped along to show my support and have a listen to a proper sermon, not one of those heretical Huguenot type thingies! Anyway I have had a ponder and come to the professional opinion - and bear in mind I am France's (and probably Europe's) most gifted medical genius - that you are suffering from what we physicians believe to be a rare ailment that affects the ability to articulate coherently. Nothing to be ashamed about, have ye no guilt, not your fault and the good news is I believe I can fully cure you for the most modest sum of 35 livres! What an absolute bargain for you, to be free of such an affliction courtesy of France's premier physician and for barely 'peanuts'.
Let me know when you are free for me to visit and send the livres by one of your couriers.

Monsieur le Vicomte De'Ath,
I am most humbled by your attention.
It is with a profound sense of gratefulness I take part of your immense wisdom. Such an elegant example of how powerful a force belief is. I am sure there are many who admire your ability to believe. About me, for example, without even needing to have met me. This ability of yours must be a blessing for many patients, who you merely have to hear a rumour about in order to make a diagnosis.
Unfortunately I will have to decline your generous offer. I live a humble life, and what is très peu for you, my lord, is more than I would be willing to spend on my own health, considering the needs of my parish.
Thank you also for reminding me of Proverbs 28:13: "If you hide your sins, you will not succeed. If you confess and reject them, you will receive mercy.". I will confess and ask God for forgiveness.
Yours in faith,
Father Fabrezan Jesuit Priest Parish of Saint-Joseph-des-Carmes Diocese of Premy

Father Fabrezan,
I thank you for your reply.
It's seems clear that you are a man of true piety and of concern for your parishioners, most commendable.
Please accept my apologies for the oversight on my part, error in fact, that I offered you my 'normal' rates....of course there is one for gentlemen of the cloth....my extra special discounted rate!! I can sense your relief and interest already, the growing realization that totally affordable medical care can be yours, thus ensuring you remain healthy to serve those worthy parishioners, and all you need do is return my enclosed "Medical Insurance for Life scroll" with the outrageously bargain price of just 20 livres!! A mere 20 livres for ongoing medical peace of mind courtesy of Paris's Premier Physician!
Come, come now Father you know it makes total sense so send me your 20 livres and you're all signed up.
