I shall be holding sermons at my new posting in the Diocese of Premy in the month of November Weeks 2 and 4. These sermons will be on the primacy of the Bible.
All are welcome to attend and I am available for confession for those of a Protestant theology.

A Protestant Sir....a Protestant?! By chance are you English...or one of those Germanic fellows??
I fear that you'll find nought but empty pews in your church for such sermons, the primacy of the bible you say. We, of the true faith, already know of it's teachings and I have some concern other interpretations of the good book may well be heretical. My good friend Lieutenant Hoffman will no doubt share my views, he being a man of most devoted prayer and learning, as I am sure are the many other notable gentlemen and ladies of Paris.
Now, as it so happens, I do have within my medical cabinet a most reasonably priced tonic that is guaranteed to clear the mind of protestant thoughts and it also purges the body of the many toxins that are known to affect those of such leanings. Normally this wouldn't come cheap from other physicians but I'm no ordinary physician, I am Paris Premier Physician and one who puts patients before profit. Thus I can let you have a course of tonics for the bargain price of just 30 livres a bottle, I believe a months course will be enough and so if you can send me 120 livres (equating to 4 bottles, 1 to be taken each week) you'll soon be praising the Pope's name and clamouring for an audience with the Cardinal by Christmas!
Yours,
Docteur Bastian Anton De'Ath Premier (and popular) Physician to the people of Paris Chevalier of France Royal Executioner Family docteur to the rich and famous

Sieur De'Ath,
I am sorely disappointed to hear that a respected and learned man like yourself is still putting such stock in superstition. Perhaps you should attend my sermon and see for yourself? I am happy to debate this with you further; the Protestant church has always encouraged its flock to read the Bible and make up their own minds, rather than be dictated to from on high. There is a reason why so many academics follow the path; indeed one of our most famous adherents, John Calvin, is famed throughout Europe for his intellectualism. So I would humbly suggest sir that your fine mind should at least lead to you investigating further, even if you are not ready to commit at this point.
As for your other question, you will find I am as French as you, good Sir.
I look forward to crossing intellectual swords with you in the future.
I remain Sir,
Father Ymbert Montgomery, Huguenot Priest
