Your Esteemed Highness,

A celebration of Frenchmen and Friendship will be hosted by myself at The Fluer de Lys the final week of July. it would do me the greatest honor if you would join in the revelry as my Guest of Honor. I find myself rather compelled to host this event as recent occurrences have underscored the value of being a Frenchman with wonderful friends.

First has been my great good fortune in serving in your Crown Prince Cuirassiers as a commanding officer; a most glorious posting.

Second is the fact that when I was snatched from the field my good fellow noble Frenchmen rallied and paid a great sum to free me from captivity. No greater reason to celebrate could possibly be imagined by your humble servant.

Therefore, Your Highness, I am proposing a great party should be held, with our wonderful ladies, at the Fluer de Lys as soon as can be arranged.
