Obvious why I'm looking at these! There's been two options for this previously. Either they're purely a RP thing (which means people are spending money for no benefit) or we just give the recipent the money directly (which feels unimmersive). I've come up with some suggested rules: Wedding gifts are expected, but not mandatory. However, generous gifts will be noticed and can lead to SP for the giver. Naturally, this is based on SL. Those of higher SL are accepted to splash out more as a matter of course! The value of all the gifts is added to the ConCon expenditure of the recipient that month for working out their ConCon level and associated SP. All gifts MUST be accompanied by a short description of the gift and bonus SPs may be awarded for especially interesting or meaningful presents. If no description is given the gift will be assumed to be cash. Cash or property gifts are acceptable (and may be prefered by poorer recipients!) but are slightly tacky so no SP will be awarded. Note that gifts may still be given if not able to wake the front. (Those givers at the Front or in a play will have their SPs held over for when they are able to gain them again). Merchants may add any gifts to the level of expenditure from their customers when working out profits. Gift Level

By the way, the SL in the column for "Gift Level" is the one of the giver or of the recipient of the gift? It might be of some importance...

I understand that of the giver...

The recipient adds it to their support total for the month. (So those that prefer to take a more mechanical choice to the game may wish to let the recipient know the value of the gift ahead of time!)
