Gmail sometimes does that to me, I have to close out of the browser entirely and sometimes restart my computer to get it back. No idea why it happens.

I do not know for certain as I do not use gmail, but this sounds as though this could benefit from clearing your cache.

I clear my touche regularly thank you very much, it's a necessity in a nation that invented Scotch broth and other soups the touche strains. I feel application of nail scissors regularly helps reduce the need for this.

Cleaned cache and it's working, cheers!
Just finishing off work then I'll update tables etc. and get them sent to you (by 5 or 6 depending on how long this takes. I sadly have to priotise paid stuff!)
Don't really think we need an extension unless anyone thinks otherwise? So if I get the appointments up today and press tomorrow, that should all be good.

I do not use GMAIL any more than I use MS OUTLOOK - as neither are very good with security... but... the home page loads for me fine in both my browsers

Think it might be an issue with the fact I need a new install; I'm going to rollback to an easier version. Sorry about this everyone. As you can imagine, me having the returns sitting there with my standard email account down is as annoying for me as you!
(If it's not fixed by a new install I will sort a different email address. I'd just rather avoid that because it makes them hard to reference).

I'd just like to comment on my own experiences from joining here, and i am sure others in the community will agree Sam. You do a wonderful job - we appreciate how much time you put in, how much you enhance the experience.
Personally, i far prefer you sort out medical problems, systems issues, before bothering about us, because i know when you do bother about us, you show us such love and attention it is so worth it. I value what you do. Don't let moustaches get you down, keep in there, we like our regular turns but we like far far more our helpful and balanced GM, and support him in whatever it takes to keep going

To take attention of Sam - here are some ooc thoughts(-
I play as a priest, started as SL 4, yet rising a social level a turn has just been so easy. OK i dropped and raised in one turn because i switched to Jesuit, but does anyone else think they should be tweaked to make it harder? Of course, there is a glass ceiling at the rank of canon, in which case Im going to bleat the opposite.
Money. I can see my character easily rising to half way through the double figures in SL just by loans. If you dont have it - you dont move - if you do have it - is easy, i know it reflects the society but is it fair?
Player versus player. When i last played, if you were top of the tree, you were taken out by a low ranking player healthier and stronger than you. Which players rarely lasted as dice always roll against you. The recent spat removed the Drs ability to take out our current tops position. I like the friendliness of this game, but ?
When will the Novembrists do something?
And non military characters, Twenty odd years ago when i played, if you didnt have an allowance, most characters had to go to the front in Summer, and more.. What options are there for females for instance?
And if they dont go to the front - how do they get rolls for estates and such?
And finally, and i hope ive taken attention of Sam. When i was young, we sort of played about ten turns, then everyone met up in Edinburgh in a bar and we played half a dozen turns, with everyone wondering why grown men went to the toilets to speak to each other. This invariably led to the dissolution of the game, probably a genuine fight, and was great fun. Just saying

Rising quickly at low levels is fairly common but it starts to become harder at higher SLs. Time starts to become the limiting factor and I spend quiet a bit of time each turn planning how to best use my four actions to eek out another couple of SP.
Money is helpful especially at lower SLs but eventually a character will need to live beyond their allowance to continue the upward climb. And loans do come due. Characters lucky enough to have a better starting wealth and allowance do enjoy an advantage but all players have the same chance of rolling a wealthy character so it is fair. Besides, Huillame started out as the son of an improvised noble and has been able to obtain and maintain the highest SL in the game!
PvP or PvE. Come down to preference. But with a few exceptions, there is no benefit to the attacking character. Lots of risk with little reward.
Liminal provides many more avenues to engage in PvP than did the original EG!. In the 14 months that I have been playing, no one has denounced another from the pulpit or in the press, no attack pieces or yobs hired. There was the attack on Henri Aubert but was that AB or the constabulary trying to arrest Aubert? And remember that attacking a high SL character has consequences.
Who are the Novembrists?
I haven't explored the options for females but Gaston was very successful playing a female character.
Non-Military characters appear to have a better monthly income than military characters. For instance, at SL 5 with 2 "promotions" an artistic practitioner earns an average of 35L per month. A Lieutenant with an SL of five earns at most 14L per month. Also, non-military characters can get promoted at anytime. Military only at the front (Guards might be an exception). Lots of cash can be earned at the front but at the cost of no SL advancement while at the front.
Outside of the military profession, characters get chances at titles when they have triumphant successes. The new noble and estate rules change this a bit to favor non-military characters more than previously.
A meet-up is impractical for those of us outside of the British Isles. A Zoom meeting perhaps?

I dangled almost everything i said just to cause discussion to occupy us. Novembrists i think are that half of the high up ones in the military that band together to instruct the low down ones All those comments were just idle thoughts to fill in the current times - but But im very impressed by your very last comment. Maybe not zoom, but discord is explorable isnt it? Would save Sam all my sill questions for a start

Ok, cool, rolling back seems to have fixed whatever the issue was. However, I am going to bed now. While press will be a bit postponed, I think all that really needs to change is a few more days leeway for influence use. Apart from that I think ce can stay on schedule.
