During Week 4 Monsieur Gervais Piquet will be hosting a select party for gentlemen with a skill at art. Although spaces for guests are, alas, limited he is able to exhibit loaned submissions from any artists who want their work to be marvelled and talked about, which will be fully credited and placed in tasteful surroundings for viewing if of a physical nature whilst songs or poems will be performed. it is early to be positive, but it is hoped a famous and influencal celebrity will be gracing the party with their presence.

Monsieur Piquet,
My mistress & I would like to attend your party if you have room. I have commissioned a book of poetry from Monsieur Delecroix that I would like to display if that is acceptable.
Sincerely, Raoul Jardin

OOC: Well, this is an interesting one ruleswise.
I think that technically Raoul and Aurele will get the SP for this one, as the commissioner and artist.

Monsieur Piquet,
I, too, gratefully accept your offer to attend. I shall defer to Monsieur Jardin on the reading of the poetry.
As ever, Yr. Svt.,

Monsieur Piquet,
Thank you. I would appreciate it if Monsieur Delecroix might be allowed to attend and read several of the poems he worked so hard to create.
Sincerely, Raoul Jardin

Monsieur Gervais Piquet,
I would be delighted to attend your party. If you would allow I could provide a scetch I am working on. Nothing special but in my free time I try my best to get a start at painting.

Madame Helen Bacque to Monsieur Gervais Adrien Piquet Greetings!
Monsieur Piquet,
Having spent the last few years aiding my late husband, Monsieur le Docteur Claude Bacque, with his medical practice I have had little time for socialising. Now that I am free of my marital obligations, however, I hope to broaden my horizons considerably and I was wondering if I might be permitted to attend your artistic gathering this month? I appreciate that my social standing may be considered a little low to attend such a prestigious event but, should one be forthcoming, an invitation would be a great kindness on your part and I would consider myself to be firmly in your debt.
Your Most Respectful Servant,
Helen Bacque
[OOC: As the illigimate daughter of a well-to-do gentleman HB's SL is currently only 3, meaning that GAP would lose a SP by having her attend. Still, if GAP can stand the minor SP hit I'd really appreciate it.
Since GAP currently has no mistress HB would be happy to serve as his hostess at the event in addition. This would fulfill his FC requirement for the month but at the cost of a further 3 SPs...

OOC: Well, this is an interesting one ruleswise. I think that technically Raoul and Aurele will get the SP for this one, as the commissioner and artist. [ooc] Will Piquet net some reflected of the Art SP generated by various artists and patrons as a %? OOC: Not necessarily, but it varies. Raoul/Aurele is a piece of art by Aurele that has been specifically commissioned by Raoul. For art by artists who don't have a commissioner, Piquet will count as that and will get the SP generated by the art, which is likely to be higher than any percentage would be anyway.

I hope to see you in the coming season in the parks and salons and I am sure you will prove to be an inspirational Helen to a Paris of poets and artists. I have heard that you are an accomplished healer. You might find some useful practise attending to a Captain of Carabiniers who is probably still recovering from a series of wounds. Madame Bacque, Alas my party list is full. --------------------------- Oh, Quelle Domage Monsieur. It's beginning to feel like I'm the only person in Paris not on it. Please accept my apologies for occasioning the embarrassment of having to refuse my request. Oh well, I can only hope the event enjoys the success it deserves and that those ladies who are present demonstrate an appropriate appreciation of the affair. Madame Bacque [OOC: Actually, re-reading the current Female Player Characters rules it doesn't appear that SL penalties apply to weeks spent with FPCs, though though the FC is still satisfied]
