If you hear further from Monsieur Laurent, would you please inform him that he has a more temporal,and pressing engagement that he seems to have ignored. Doubtless, this uncouth omission is through ignorance as he still seems to be ignorant of the social propriety expected of a gentleman of France.
Sorry to embroil you, but one must try whatever channels might get one to a destination!
