OOC:
Ooo, first opportunity to show off a new rule that's relevant.
39.7 Merchants are also good at other kinds of trade. If a theatre production sources its props through the Merchant the Merchant adds that to the Support Costs for that month. They may also buy and sell residences and horses for 90% of the normal price, allowing them to undercut the market.
Obviously ,that won't reduce the value of a PC house but I thought the profit potential for QA was worth highlighting for both of you.

[OK, in light of the above...]
Madame Helen Bacque to Monsieur Quintin Aiguille, Greetings!
Monsieur Aiguille,
Maitre Louis Giry tells me that he has currently received no offers regards the house on the corner of the Rue de Coq and the Rue de la Tissanderie which I am hoping to sell.
Knowing of your expertise in the field of commerce, I was wondering if you would like to act as agent for the sale, in return for an agency fee of 15 livres?
Kindest Regards,
Helen Bacque

Mon cher Mme Baque,
As it so happens I am currently in search of a house in which I can both reside as well as using as my workshop for future commissions. This property sounds ideal and I would be grateful if you could consider me as a potential buyer?
I shall submit an offer to your agent but are you able to confirm if this is still Msr Giry or, now, Msr Aiguille?
Best regards,
Pierre Flump aka Pierre the Painter

Monsieur Flump,
I have yet to hear from Monsieur Aiguille (who I believe will be seeking 270 livres for the property) so it is still currently in the hands of my attorny.
Shall we say 260 livres plus the 13 livres legal fees ?

Monsieur Flump,
Excellent ! I'm sure the property will not disappoint. It is south facing across the Rue de la Tissanderie and the corner upstairs room (which I am currently using as my boudoir) has two large windows facing south and another facing west. I'm certain it would make a fine studio.
I shall, of course, be taking my staff (housekeeper, footman, groom and coachman) along with me to my new abode. Given the paucity work available in the capital at the moment, however, I am sure that will have little trouble in finding replacements.
My new (somewhat larger) house is just around the corner, on the Rue du Coq. Please feel free to call around for refreshments should you ever need a break from your artistic endeavours since I may have a commission for you.
Kindest Regards,
Helen Bacque
