This is part of the series of polls I'm doing to guide me before I do the finalish version of the rulesbook. Some background discussion here - liminalengarde.proboards.com/thread/229/homgenisation-characters-open-discussionThis one is probably a more straightfoward question. Would you like more abilities to further differentiate your characters and avoid the "everything about my character is bad" issue. A few notes on how I'd be implementing this. I'd be looking at abilities like Dancing, Etiquette, Hunting etc. The big qualifier is that they wouldn't be as overwhelming as MA in how the game is played. I'd be looking either at having them using in very narrow situations (Etiquette at Court) or for specific careers (MedA for doctors). So, the goal would be to allow players to ignore them mostly on the grounds that it's better to add chrome without lots of complexity at the player end. This also means they wouldn't be being rolled for everyone every month; I've taken people's concerns on board there.

Can't believe none of you voted for my funny joke about F.A.T.A.L.

Can't believe none of you voted for my funny joke about F.A.T.A.L. I had never heard of it, and had to look it up. Possibly just a little excessive for Liminal.

One question here: should more abilities be introduced (like intrigue, dance, etiquette or others), how will they be treated? As MA (or AA or RxA) or on a 3d6 basis (be it with 1d20 or 3d6 against it)?

1d6. I'm trying to keep them on the same system rather than separate subsystems.
