As I've discussed with several of you, the rules at the start were very much in the beta stage and needed playtesting.
I feel we are now past that stage and I've seen what works and what doesn't.
Next step is a full overhaul/revision of the rules to remove errors and get them as tight as possible.
While there may be some tinkering at this stage, there will be nothing like the military overhaul. (As said at the time, that was a special situation because of the state the military rules were previously in).
The only possible big changes will be the duelling rules and I'm not sure on that. As we have discussed, they don't quite work but that's the case for all online EG! games and nobody is quite sure how to change them.
I'm going to be going through each section one by one as part of this.
Would people rather I posted up tinkering etc. as it's happening so they can comment and make suggestions or at this point would people rather I just did the overhaul and let you know when it's all done?

I'm not sure at this one... On one hand, posting "finished" rules would surely lead to furthr comments and twikings as suggested. OTOH, publishing each section to be commented could ethrnalize it. An advantage to publish them in full, though, would be to allow to better grasp any inconsistences among sections that are more difficult to see when sections are published separately. In the end, as probably new comments and suggestions will appear in any case as people reads them in more detail, those inconsitences appear, and the game develops showing unforeseen problems, I think it would be better to publish them in full, though both cases are fine for me.

That makes sense. To get both approaches, maybe I publish a "final draft" and then let people raise any issues before doing the final rulebook.
