As requested! This is mostly aimed at people who've played before, to give them an idea of what extra bits have been added. This isn't a list of every bit of tinkering but hopefully covers the most important bits. - Some changes made for reasons of historical atmosphere. "Crowns" are now "Livres". The noble ranks have been renamed etc. (On the former, because the rules are still beta some parts may still use "Crowns" by mistake!)
- Lots of new careers. This is one of the biggest changes. Obviously, the Military is still an important part of Parisian society. But gentlemen can now make their living as Clergy, Artists, Doctors, Theatre Directors, Academics or even Foreign Spies.
- It is now necessary to more aggressive pursue Status Points, both to go up Social Levels and to maintain your current status.
- Some new clubs from the very high status Fleur de Lyes to the glorified bawdyhouse that is The Lady's Slipper. New drunkeness rules when carousing
- Mistresses can now get pregnant and be married.
- Royal Court rules. These are highly unlikely to affect anyone at the start of the game, but adds to the later game for titled characters, who previously could find themselves a bit at a loss of what to do.
- Expanded Justice system for wrongdoers.
- New appointments. You to can be the Royal Astronomer.
- Rules for female PCs. (Note that these are very experimental, more so then the rest of the game).
- Extra random bits and bobs (Housing Rules, Paris Lottery etc.)
