The Social Whirlwind by Le Mole.
Ah, my friends. Naturally, your old friend Le Mole has little to report this month. We are all awaiting with baited breath the arrival of a new crop of fameseeking gentleman into the Jewel of France, from the highest Duke to the most lowly peasant. The clubs anticipate you gentlemen.
News from the Front by Colonel Beaubeau (rtd)
Hurumph. Obviously, it's not campaign season yet. Still, our noble and brave Frontier regiment continue to hold their own in a stalemate with the Holy Roman Empire. Why, you could almost forget that regiment is made up primarily of criminals and disgraced gentlemen.
Speaking of gentlemen, the new boys arrive in Paris soon. If any of you milksops fancy taking a break from wenching and drinking to do your duty to King and Country I will not only be pleased, but astonished. Although the posh boys among you should note that the Guard's Brigade are all busy actually protecting the King and don't have time for your tomfoolery this month.
The Court Circular by Baroness Renée Bescond.
Our much beloved King continues to show his devotion to the people with this season's court schedule.
Following a month of government business at Fontainebleu (which I understand was highly successful) the King plans to take a trip to the Frontier (accompanied by the entire Guards Brigade) to inspire our brave boys fighting against the "Holy" Roman Empire. His Majesty will spend the first two weeks addressing the Troops, followed by another two weeks hosting envoys from our gallant allies The Spanish and Dutch.
The King will then extend his stay for a month, hosting another Dutch delegation in the second week of that month.
Truely his bravery and military service inspires us all!
